Made a Chinese food run to Listowel on New Years Eve and gave myself enough time to get a few foggy night photos on the way.
Snowed In Christmas
With all the roads in Perth and Huron County closed we didn’t make it home for Christmas day.
That being said, we still had a great Christmas in Stratford. Even if it meant shovelling a couple times a day.
Blizzard Russell Plow
At the end of December Southern Ontario was hit by a blizzard that dumped a significant amount of snow in and around Stratford.
To clear the line from Stratford to Exeter, the Goderich to Exeter Railway brought their 1940s Russell Plow to Stratford. I drove out in some of the most intense wind and snow I’ve seen in a while to grab a few shots before heading back inside.
Lights on Stratford
Midway through December I headed down to Tom Paterson Island to check out this year’s Lights On Stratford display.
I went on a frigid Sunday night to scope out the display without the crowds, it made for a great opportunity to take everything in and get some candid photos of the few people that were there.
