Canadian Pacific Holiday Train

This year the CP Holiday Train ran for the first time since 2019 travelling across Southern Ontario and into the United States!

I met up with the train in Cambridge and followed it to Ayr and Woodstock before deciding to turn back. Despite missing the train at one spot and having to get a boost after leaving the radio on for too long, it was a successful night of train chasing. Very glad to see the Holiday Train back and to see the size of the crowds at every stop along the way!

Summer Trees and Train Spotting

The weather finally cooperated to get the summer photo of the six trees outside Hickson, Ontario. Back in the spring I could have sworn the field was planted with wheat, but luckily it wasn’t too hard to hold the tripod up above my head!

On the way back I popped down to the CN line in Beachville before heading up to Stratford and home.

Innerkip Train Chasing

Before an end-of-year department get together I popped downtown and hung around eastern Oxford County looking for some trains.

The first one I set the shutter speed too low and blurred each shot, the second one I missed by 5 minutes, and finally I saw one autorack train at the end of the day. Maybe next time.
