To kick off summer I put on a wide brimmed hat, loaded up on sunscreen, and headed over to Hamilton to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Skyfest 50 event!
The CWHM is one of my favourite museums and I make a point to visit a couple times each year. This time around the museum’s roster of historic, working aircraft were joined by a number of others from other museums and private collections. I saw my first ever P-40 Warhawk and got to see the museum’s Fairey Firefly start up and do a few circuits over the museum after years of restoration.
Spending the day with vintage airplanes and the people who love them has got me excited for this year’s Thunder Over Michigan show where I’ll be front and centre after two years away!
